Assembly

We had two guest appearances on Friday, Mo Mallard & Bowlesburg's one & only Bobcat! They helped Bowlesburg celebrate the end of Jump Rope for Heart & ISAT kick-off. Bowlesburg raised over $4000 for the American Heart Association. Great job kids!!!

Gymnastics

This week we are working with the balance beam and spring board. On the balance beam, the students practiced walking forward, sideways and backwards.

While using the spring board, the students practiced hopping off while landing on both feet. Jumping forward, twisting at a 180 & 360, as well as other "tricks".

Hockey

January 4-13th

It must be hockey time! This week I spent time teaching the students how to hold a hockey stick properly and passing pucks to our teammates. I also discussed the Bowlesburg inside hockey rules. Next week we will practice again and then start our class tournaments. The winning team from each class will have their pictures posted in the gym and also receive a certificate.

Now he knows why I said NOT to lay on the ground during a hockey game. Don't worry, no kids were injured during this practice game. :)
